Everyone,
during the significant junctures of life, needs an opinion. It is said that
elders are the perfect source from whom one can expect the best suggestion
rather than youngsters. I strongly agree with the given statement and the
ensuing paragraphs will highlight arguments that support my stance.
The
major reason for putting aged in the frontline of seeking advice is the
abundance of experience they hold. Undoubtedly, elderly people have seen more
life and have faced more challenges from which they have either learned, failed
or won. Thus, they can guide in a better way so that the coming generation doesn’t
repeat the mistakes they have committed.
Another
explanation can be the composed nature of the old people and their ability to
take decision after adequate brooding. Needless to say, the youth of today
wants everything much quicker and so in haste, they are not able to guide
perfectly. Whereas, elders have patience and intellect; they take important
steps after looking at its pros and cons in detail. For instance, most youth
fails to select a suitable marriage partner for them and end up getting divorce
later. On the other hand, those who follow the instructions of their parents in
this matter have more chances of sustainable married life.
Still
there are people who disagree with the statement in hand and argue that elderly
are not competent enough to give advice in certain matters such as technology.
When it comes to buying, repairing or updating a gadget, youngsters can suggest
better.
After
explaining my opinion, I would re-state that if young ones look upon to their
elders for acquiring suggestions, there are more likely to succeed in contrast
to their age group.
